Privacy policy

Built to see color—not you.

Effective August 20, 2026

Overview

ColorPickr is developed by Donald W. Jordan under the WolfsRaven developer brand. The app is designed to minimize data handling: it does not collect personal data, create user accounts, track activity, or send app data to the developer.

Camera processing

ColorPickr uses the iPhone camera to analyze live preview frames and calculate a color value from the area beneath the reticle. Camera frames are processed on the device. They are not recorded, saved, uploaded, transmitted, or shared by ColorPickr.

Clipboard

ColorPickr writes a formatted color value to the system clipboard only after you choose a copy action. The format can be HEX, RGB, HSB, SwiftUI Color, or UIColor, depending on your setting. ColorPickr does not read, collect, upload, or transmit clipboard contents.

Preferences and palette data

App preferences and captured palette samples are stored locally on your device. This can include copy-format, feedback, sampling, and interface preferences, along with saved color values and their timestamps. ColorPickr does not send this information to the developer or to a developer-operated server.

Analytics, advertising, accounts, and tracking

ColorPickr does not include analytics or advertising SDKs. It does not show ads, require an account, track you across apps or websites, or use developer-operated servers.

Data sharing

ColorPickr does not collect app data for the developer and therefore does not sell or share such data with third parties. Information you choose to paste or share after copying leaves ColorPickr under your control and is handled by the destination you select.

Your choices and controls

  • You can grant or revoke camera access in iOS Settings under Privacy & Security, then Camera.
  • You can delete individual palette samples or clear the palette inside ColorPickr.
  • You can remove all locally stored ColorPickr data by deleting the app from your device.
  • You can turn optional sound and haptic feedback off in ColorPickr settings.

Children’s privacy

ColorPickr does not knowingly collect personal information from children or adults because it does not collect personal information from app users.

Security

ColorPickr reduces privacy and security exposure by keeping its app data on your device and operating without developer-run network services. Device-level protection depends on the security of your iPhone and operating system.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated when ColorPickr’s features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an updated policy is published. Material changes will be reflected in the app and its App Store privacy disclosures as applicable.
